This bedside commode exceeded my expectations in both comfort and sturdiness. The padded seat and backrest make it far more comfortable than the standard models I've seen, and the wider armrests provide excellent support and stability when sitting down or standing up. At 21 inches wide, it gives enough room without feeling cramped. The aluminum frame is lightweight yet very strong - I feel secure using it, and it easily supports up to 350lbs as advertised. The crossbar design adds extra stability, which is reassuring. Cleaning is simple thanks to the removable bucket, and the smooth finish wipes down easily without hassle. Whether used bedside or as a bathroom safety aid, it feels thoughtfully designed for seniors and adults alike. A big upgrade in both comfort and confidence. Highly recommended!

Ordered this for my Father in law. Easy assembly, legs extend to raise higher or lower. Bucket easy to access. Only down fall is he doesn't remember to point south so he pees on the floor.

This commode is very well made and supportive! The weight limit is high for those of us that number among the less than petite. However, it is easy to move. The toilet seat (thick cushion) lifts for easy cleaning. A lid can be utilized between uses. There is also a toilet paper holder on one leg. If you wish to change it to a toilet assist chair, the cushioned back rest can be removed along with the catch basin. There will still be splash guard "funnel" down into the toilet. I am in a wheelchair with MS and have mobility and toilet issues with exacerbations occasionally. Being able to place this near me during those times is a blessing. It is my own port-a-pot.

I needed a medical commode for my Mom. Her bathroom does not have handicap accommodations so this toilet was needed. She loves it. It did come with a lot of separate pieces but the directions to put it together were clear and easy to follow. Took about 25 minutes to assemble. The toilet itself has an adjustable height and comes with arm rests, a backrest, a removable toilet paper holder and a removable bucket. The removable bucket makes it easy to sit the commode over the regular toilet or move it bedside. If you need to use it with the bucket, you can also purchase toilet bags and/or splash guards for easy disposal. Bonus—all of these items can be purchased with an healthcare fsa account if you have one. The is a medical grade, sturdy commode made from quality materials. Price wise, it is on par with the going price for medical commodes. I definitely recommend this item.

This bedside commode is convenient for those with limited mobility or recent operations. I found it relatively easy to assemble, although there are a lot of parts. The parts were numbered for identification, and the instructions included both words and pictures that were not hard to interpret. There was one wing nut screw that would not tighten with the bumper in place, but did tighten when I left off the bumper. There was also one extra wing nut included. The commode rests level on the floor, and is able to be adjusted for height. The cushioned seat is comfortable, and the commode feels sturdy. The bucket is sizable, and should be more than enough for normal use. A plastic toilet paper holder is included that clips on to one of the side bars, and there is also a small pouch that I suppose could be used for reading material. The cushioned seat can be removed easily for cleaning. I appreciate that there is a lid for the bucket, so waste disposal is more hygienic. Overall this is a good option for those who have mobility restrictions on a short or longer term basis.

For a Toilet seat riser just leave off the back and the bucket attachments. It fits right over the toilet
It was the instructions are clear and it was easy to put together and easy to use
The seat itself is comfortable but firm I am currently using this for my elderly father as a toilet seat riser. It helps him to lower and lift himself off the toilet. I opted for this rather than install grab bars plus the raised seat height made it much easier for him. I kept the bucket and extra parts so if he ends up needing the bedside toilet I will have it for him.

the title pretty much says it all...if you have to deal with one of these at all, then this is a pretty good choice. it is easy to put together, well made, relatively easy to move yet will stay put thanks to the rubber suction feet. it has a deep bucket that will hold a bunch of well....you know....it is wide enough for larger users and have tp holder and wipes holder as well conveniently located. The seat is comfortable, ample and wide enough for most users. The bucket stays put, does not leak when used and has a tight fit lid. it is easy to remove the bucket for cleaning and empty. All in all a good choice.

My 91 year-old father has tried several bedside toilets during various hospital stays and has found them all terribly uncomfortable. Some have actually injured him for failing to accommodate the male anatomy. We bought this unit for home use, and Dad loves it! He can easily sit on it without injury, and he can remain on it for extended periods without discomfort.

I actually started working on putting it together today and was very gratified with the packaging, the manual/directions for assembly and the helpful video on youtube as well! This bedside commode has a really nice seat which is very good for my mother. She is little, not over five feet tall but the opening is very commodious and it has already "worked" beautifully! I know it is a delicate and personal topic but this bedside commode makes me want to shower several zip codes for the people who surely would benefit from having one of these! If we can't make it to the powder room very quickly sometimes, this is really great. Everything was so thoughtfully done with the packaging and presentation of this very important project! Though I am not hopelessly an idiot sometimes a form of dyslexia overcomes me when I am trying to put something together and so I dread even getting started . . . but this was made so nicely with such clear guides that I was able to do it in a fairly short amount of time! :) The above was my review following my first order fulfillment. I have now ordered a second HOMLAND Bedside Commode. Although it was expected to be delivered on Sunday, May 3, 2026, there was some kind of delay but dear Amazon notified me and said it should be here today, which it was! You guys are great, thank you!

Homland has the best customer service! This product is durable and of excellent quality. It's so nice, I bought it twice. Very sturdy and easy to assemble. Comfortable for a person with a larger body habitus.

Perfect size for my wife. Easy to follow installation instructions and no tools necessary. Unit is sturdily constructed and easy to adjust to accommodate my wife's height. Be sure to order the bucket liners from the same manufacturer which makes disposal easy and clean. The commode is a great value and very beneficial.

Really good product.

Pros: Easy to assemble. Clear directions. The padded seat, back and armrests are great. They are stiff, but I think in time it will get softer. Cons: The arm rests are bit wide apart for my petite Mother so she tends to lean to the side. The bucket is a deep gray which makes it hard to see the pee let alone impossible to determine the color of the pee. Ridiculous color choice. We substituted the bucket with a beige commode bucket we had in hand. The only lid is the bucket lid. To avoid accidentally forgetting to remove it we are keeping it off all together.

We got this for a dear friend and it was the perfect thing for him, as a stroke patient.

Easy to put together, very comfortable, well balanced and sturdy, while light and easy to move. The only downside is the toiletpaper roll holder. It doesn't fit correctly so it falls right off, but no big deal. It's a very, very comfortable and soft potty.
